  3. This is a utility to adjust reported sizes of files in your
  4. FileSections. I wrote it originally so that my FileSections would
  5. accurately report sizes of files which I Stuffed or Packed after they
  6. were initially uploaded, and for those occasions when someone sends me
  7. an updated application without documentation and I add the documentation
  8. to the Stuffit archive. Since Host computes allowable download times
  9. from the sizes stated in your FileSections, it’s nice to keep them
  10. accurate.

  12. This version works with both Host 1.4 *and* Host 2.x FileSection
  13. formats.

  15. In addition to size adjustments, Resize FSecs can optionally globally
  16. change the name of an uploader -- I used this feature once upon a time
  17. to change all the “System Operator” uploads to my name -- and the basic
  18. access level for your files.

  20. To use it, just fire it up and have it read a FileSection on your BBS
  21. disk. It will follow the listed path to compute the size of the actual
  22. file, and will rewrite the listing if necessary. If you’ve elected to
  23. change an uploader name, it will do so for every match of the old name
  24. you’ve entered. If you’ve enabled the “Adjust Download Clearance…”
  25. option, it will change all file listings in the FileSection to the level
  26. you’ve set.

  28. This application is for the use of registered Archie users only and is
  29. not to be distributed on bulletin boards other than Glassell Park.

  31. Version 2.5 fixes a problem that the previous version had changing the
  32. uploader name in a FileSection.
